You raise a very good point. They waste huge amounts of money of stupid things that serve no purpose at all. There is a whole sector that feeds off the stupidity of the rich and their pathologies.
You are wrong Mr Gooden! Some of these pieces are marvelous not because they are expensive but because they are different and interesting to look at! Yes some of us love other things than white walls, light wood, mid-century furniture, and white marble! BTW love the editing of your video this is a great job!
My mother is a diarist and work for some middle class people (who think they are rich), she use to clean apartments no way near this places but this people really like to show off and be cluttered with loads of useless stuff.
Guess you didn’t watch the full dita vid cause all her taxidermy is either ethically sourced (died of old age) or it is true vintage (taxidermy from 50+ years ago) bought from estate sales or antique stores. But taste is personal and it may not be for you. That’s fine just wanted to clarify the info.
ATM machine seems to strongly imply that these xillionaires have decided not to set up free play on the arcade machines in their own basement which is generally very doable, I guess that's one way to get rich. charging your friends to play pinball. alternately they're just compulsive gamblers constantly withdrawing cash to bet on bowling. either scenario is a nightmare.
We knew rich people have bad taste when we saw trump’s apartment. And chandeliers! The dust! Standing on the mezzanine of a fancy hotel (not renting a room. I took my children to see the artworks they boasted) my 8 year old and I were charmed by a lovely web spun in the chandelier in front of our faces.
these guy with the flower cutting room reminds me of when I would play the Sims as a kid and make a "mansion" that was basically just a huge 3 story square chopped up into a bunch of rooms. I'd always run out of things to put in each space so by the end I was making pointless rooms like "vase museum" and "80s room" just to fill up space.
Dakota lying about limes because she was like anxious and didn't know how to ignore them is hilarious and exactly the dumb ass type of shit I would do cause I'm anxious and an idiot.
I honestly think that the only AD video I’ve enjoyed is Emmy Raver-Lampman and Daveed Diggs’ house. It didn’t feel like they were filling their house with needlessly expensive things, and a lot of it was very personal and sentimental( But also they too have the obligatory rich person weird chairs in their house)
I think you don't need more than a million dollars to have a comfortable home. I wouldn't even want my home to "look" rich if I was rich, because I want to be able to relax when I'm home, not feel like I'm in a museum and too afraid to touch anything.
Those little 'acting cuts' is why i stay throughout the video. It is the highpoints of the video. That walk to the other side of the room hahaha. 'he said it, he said the title' spot on i really was (embarisingly) wawing the dog tale i dont have.
Just found your channel! Great video, terrific comments and observations along with the clips from other videos. I've seen some of those other videos; those houses are something else. It's like people are trying to think of some way to spend money, they have so much of it, so they buy and install dumb things just to spend money or so the whole house is on the same level of extravagance. This stuff is interesting in a weird way but I'm reminded of a line that Barbra Streisand had in the movie "The Way We Were": "Decadent and disgusting". I'm also reminded of Spencer and Katrina Trask, the wealthy couple who turned their estate Yaddo into a retreat for writer's and painters and who decided to give away their fortune by helping others. If i were enormously rich I'd have a pleasant home or apartment and it would be more fun helping people with medical bills or a new roof or paying their rent or getting someone a new car and paying for the insurance so they can become self-sufficient after a while. That would sure be better and more enjoyable than a home theater with motion-sensitive lighting.
SVdown rich people always have the ugliest houses. Im talking mainly family vloggers (aka ace family). They all have white kitchens and they're all so ugly.
Crystal chandeliers actually cost way less people think, and I mean the best quality ones. And they are worth it since its a good material that doesnt lose value over time.
what the actual fuck do you need an atm for in your private partybasement? are you that stingy that you make your guests pay for things when you throw a party?! like wtf man?
There's litterally nothing architectural about these homes. They're just overpriced houses so the developer can buy more overpriced houses for himself.

so my grandma lives in a 2 story house, isnt too big and the land was from her husbands grandparents, they built the house for maybe 100k and the land was probably purchased for about 300 dollars but now that plot of land alone would be work like 2.5 million and with the house maybe 4 million and that's on the cheaper side for houses in that area there are some houses that are lik ein the 30 milion range not to far away,
I love when celebrities just lie unprovoked about insignificant things. Not just the Dakota Johnson limes thing, but also that time Robert Pattinson pretended like he was at a circus performance where a clown died before the audience’s eyes
Their homes can be great college campuses...like who needs that much space? The money spent to keep it clean will keep me away from big houses, unless the people living in it helps me clean
We can eat the rich and it wouldn’t be cannibalism because I refuse to believe any of these people are human. Give me a nice house with plenty of room and a pool and I’m good. The fuck do you need FOUR houses for within walking distance? Wait. Sorry. I misspoke. WHY THE FUCK DO YOU NEED FOUR HOUSES. PERIOD.
Admitting your house is so big that you don't even use half of it is such a weird brag... Like you're wasting millions on something that not even you care about...
